i dress upWhat is the best character to dress up a as?

My friend is having a fancy dress party for her 16th birthday. I wanted to dress up as a character from Lord of the Rings. However I am a 5'11 girl and I really didn't want to dress up as any of the female characters. Could anybody give me a good idea for a costume that doesn't involve me dressing up in a dress.
PS
I am really keen on the idea of having some sort of prop; eg sword, bow and arrow, etc.
PPS
also the character has to be instantly recognisable
Thanksi dress up!
Legolas the elf :) or you can go as Aargon. However, if you wanted to go as Frodo, Sam, Merry or Pippin your height really shouldn't matter.
The Elven women in Tolkien's stories were tall, but if you want to do the dude thing, and you wish to keep your tallness, any of the male characters that aren't Dwarvish or Hobytla would work. Simplicity used to have patterns for ALL of the movies' characters. Check the do it yourself costuming site for garb AND accessories ai dress upt alleycatscratch.com. They have a large group on the LOTR section and the pictures of what people have done themselves is impressive. Join, and you can ask specific how-to questions.....probably lots of help there.
Well you don't exatly have to be a certain character from lord of the rings you can dress AV儿劣 some one based of of Legolas or Arwen.
You could also go as a ringraith, but it might not be the right party
