I went to college way up north where minorities, in general, made up less than 1% of the population and we never had any instances of this sort of behavior. This was about ten years ago though. What's different, if anything?
The strangest things happen in CA. Sounds like a stupid idea that got too much attention. The press will probably blow it of saying something like," Those gosh darn silly college kids", but it goes a lot deeper than that. People do really stupid stuff when under the influence......>_<

The off campus party was sponsored and organized by white USCD fraternities. The Youtube video reference , I could make a video stating the world is flat and post it on Youtube, is that absolute proof. Youtube is a joke as proof. Sounded like someone was trying to make money as a party planner. A party planner is not the one sponsoring the party.
Supposedly the noose was left by a 'female minority'. Since all females are classified as minority, could have been White, Black, Asian or anything. Being a minority does not always mean non-white.

I don't think it signifies anything other than a bunch of a$$hole kids who have nothing better to do with their time than act stupid. I particularly enjoyed reading the girl who is a minority herself allege that she didn't make the noose to be racist but was playing around for some other purpose. In that instance, it could be minorities playing along lest someone realize that one of these things is not like the others and remember the stereotypes associated with their ethnicity/race.
We hear about stuff like this happening nearly every year on college campuses.
It is RACIST and no one can say otherwise... the parties themselves were the leeast of UC San Diegos racist issues.

The school newspaper actually made fnooses on college campusun of them. Yes "The Koala" I think its called ...basically mocked and entire segment of the student body using racial slurs nonetheless....Calling the students protesting "Ungrateful NAV儿劣**s"
This is why I would NEVER go to a college that is only like 2% Black. Who goes into college expecting to have to defend yourself like its the 1950s Civil Rights era..? Its just not right.
The behavior you are referring to was perpetrated by minority students. I believe they are looking to be noticed. On another note, I would rather know what and who I am dealing with. Since the advent of PC, I have to really dig to find out just what kind of person I am dealing with. That would be the down side of the whole thing.
WTF? What kind of bull is that? It seems to me those student were all too comfortable to have taken it to those extremes. I mean c'mon, they were throwing hate parties for God's sake! How does it even get to that point?
I don't believe or at least I hope this behavior isn't indicative of something worse to come. It's unacceptable. The administrators there should definitely make an example out of them to ensure it doesn't happen again.

But what's new, whites getting blamed for the bad behavior of non-whites. It's like those racial attacks on Indian students in Australia. Everyone assumes it was whites doing the attacking, when in actuality it has been Lebanese Muslim immigrants:

Wow. Scary, but really, it was to be expected. White kids are not allowed to be "Proud" without it becoming an issue of race. Nazi's scare me, but they are the extreme of what white anger can be. When one pushes and pushes multiculturalism, there is bound to be resistance. And regrettably, it is manifesting in these symbols.
I know this is only one story, but it might be able to relate what is happening. My sister is a small framed little gal. She might weight 85 pounds. A group of girls, Americna of African Extraction, picked on her mercilessly. My sister fought back, but was beat down savagely on a few occassions. These girls also stole from her. My sister went to the principal. She begged to have a little help on this. The principal told her, and my parents, that there was nothing they could do because they were black kids doing the robbery. They said that they would be sued and have the school branded racist. Scary huh? My sister could not even get help from those in charge. So, my sister now is one of the biggest racists I know. But she has learned to hate.
So regrettably, with cultures coming together at such a frenetic pace, there will be strife, friction, anger and fear. What did people think would happen? Cake and Ice Cream? Koom-bye-ya?
That is totaly wacked out they should get aressted i hate racist people!
